In 1884, Master Cutler Karl Elsener started his cutlery factory in the small village of Ibach, Switzerland. In 1897, he crafted the Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knife. Since that time, the Elsener family has continued to craft tools in the Victorinox tradition of precision durability and quality.
Attempts have been made worldwide to copy Victorinox and its symbol of superior craftsmanship - The red handle knife bearing the "Cross & Shield." Don't be fooled by imitations. To ensure your product is an authentic Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knife or specialty tool, simply look at the base of your large blade for the Victorinox name.
All knives have rust-free aluminum alloy separators, blades made of stainless steel, and brass rivets and bushings used to hold the knife layers together.
Victorinox is the world leader of pocket tools (Multi-tools and Pocket knives). For every activity, be it professional, in the home or during leisure time, there is a need for excellent tools and cutting implements. Find the one that fits your daily task.
Victorinox guarantees all multi-tools to be of first-class stainless steel, and provides a lifetime guarantee against any defects in material and workmanship.

usefulOct 24, 2003
By B. R. Hassard I have two swiss army knives. I happened across a camper on a hike more than ten years ago, and have been sold on victorinox knives ever since. Now I have a card too. I have had it for a year now and really enjoy it. I carry it in the credit card slot of my PDA wallet and use it often. The camper is a stronger knife but I like this one's portability. The other knife was more than I wanted in my pocket all of the time and this one is just automatically with me. My only complaint is that it lacks the heft and strength of my other knife, but to be portable you go small. I compared it with the spydercard but I like to have more than just one blade available. Hope this helps!

Looks great, not as functional as desired.Nov 27, 2003

Have had this for years now, with additional gifts at various times. Although I'd expected this to come in quite handy, I have found the scissors and knife not quite up to what I need at the time. (I probably use the tip of a ballpoint pen as well or better.)

A Great Idea, But Not Built ToughSep 19, 2001
By cs2001 The plastic door for the scissors could easily break off.By the way, the Swiss Card was advertised as 10 fuctions; but the blade was counted twice - blade & letteropener. It has a ball point pen which is quite useful.

Best money I ever spent on myselfNov 20, 2004
By Shannon I bought this very card in Swizerland over three years ago and I still carry it in my purse today. I would sooner leave the house without my wallet than forget this handy lady's toolkit. I have no idea how many Euros I plopped down for this neat little card, but it was a steal! Reading the others' reviews, they claim durability is a problem. Trust me, if this thing can survive three years in the bottom of my bag without cracking or chipping or breaking entirely, it's passed some pretty strict tests. BUY IT!

Great in a pinchMay 02, 2011
By Atlanta76 This is perfect for what it's intended for: stuff you need in a pinch. The pen is great when you get to the ATM without a pen to sign your check. Sure it will give you carpal tunnel if you try to use it every day but if you just need to split up a check at the restaurant once in a while it's great. The hinge for the scissors is no longer part of the card and it's been improved so if you see that in other reviews you can ignore it (and the product picture is outdated). The knife is razor sharp and great for opening a package or cutting my kid's hot dog when we're at a picnic.
