My new Swiss Army KnifeJun 22, 2010 Someone had stolen the Swiss Army knife I had carried everywhere with me for almost 40 years. It had made it through TSA on numerous occassions - even mailed it back to myself once when I forgot to take it out of my purse. I was able to replace it through Amazon at a price that couldn't be beat. Love my new knife.

Be careful with your knife at sea...Dec 15, 2009 I am not sure about other manufacturers, but if your victorinox knife touch sea-water, it will be corroded in just a couple of hours.

Swiss Army HuntsmanDec 14, 2009 In the early 90's I lost my apartment and became homeless. Not to fear, I put together basic camping gear including a Victorinox Swiss Army Camping Knife. For over a year of brutal street living, my Swiss Army Knife did many chores from sawing kindling to picking ticks off me. The "Huntsman" is basically the same knife with the addition of scissors. You never know just how handy one of these are unless the need arises. Now I have several different Victorinox Knives around, from the small "Classic" to the large survival "Soldier". I strongly recommend you have a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife nearby, because they're worth their weight in gold when they're needed.

Victorinox qualityMar 16, 2009 A very good army knife. Victorinox is Victorinox, and there's nothing more to say. You might find a cheaper knife but far from this quality. You also might find some Letherman knives, but not for the price of this one.
Besides the quality, it is a very complete knife. Not as complete the Champ model, but (for me)it has the most important tools: two blades, the ++openers, and the lovely scissors and wood saw. And with all this tools it's still a very light knife.
An excellent knife!
