A great Swiss and a locking blade too!!Aug 28, 2010
By Jaimie My daughter is going on a 3 week back county camping trip and one of the mandatory items was a knife with a locking blade and a can opener. Sounds easy, right? Well it's not! We finally found this knife but couldn't find it at a local retailer to try it in person(we live in a large metropolis by the way), but since we needed it we went ahead and ordered it from Amazon sight unseen. We are VERY happy with it. The locking mechanism is easy to use but not easy to accidentally unlock, it's nice and light weight even thought it is a little on the long side from what I had hoped for and it very sharp. Did I mention that it's very sharp? I'm not kidding! Be careful when you open and close it the first few times so you don't accidentally nick yourself.

Great, Simple Swiss Army KnifeSep 08, 2008
By Off Belay Like all Victorinox knives I have owned, this seems like a quality unit. Sharp blade, no wobbling or looseness in the components. I have several knives that I don't carry because they are loaded down with a bunch of bulky stuff that I rarely use. Thus knife is great in that it has just the stuff I really use. My personal preference would be that the knife was just a bit shorter, say 3" closed rater than 3 1/2" closed. Other than that, it's just about perfect.
review for swiss army knife the adventurerMay 04, 2012
By Karen Great knife easy to open and the fact that it locks. I also like the bigger blade. I know there are other knifes that open easy but I like the fact that this knife has the screw driver bottle opener, awl, phillips head. I don't have any finger nails to open anything but the big blade so the twezers come in handy for that.
a great replacementDec 31, 2011

Vicorinox makes a good product to be sure and this is one of two knives I have bought from them, this one (the second purchase) fits the bill perfectly and then some (with the philips screw driver). A great pocket knife.

By UpstateSC I've had 3 or 4 of these over the last 20 years or so. They are sturdy, sharpen easily, good quality, last a long time...if you don't misplace them.
