And Kingston Brannt kept a tight rein on his volcanic desires, but made it abundantly clear that he resented Shelby's sweetly distracting presence--and the fiery passion she stirred in him. Although the ruggedly handsome, impossibly stubborn cowboy fought their explosive attraction at every turn, somehow his brooding, blustery ways made him even more irresistible to a starry-eyed Shelby. Now the jaded Texas bachelor was about to learn a mighty big lesson in love from the very woman he scorned! | | | Product Details: | | | Average Customer Rating:

You'll need some tissues handy, there are a few scenes where your heart with ache!Mar 02, 2012
By KayLovesToRead To Love and Cherish by Diana Palmer ~ Harlequin Special Release ~ originally published 1980
Diana Palmer knows how to draw out the intense emotions! Though this was originally published in 1980, this story works very well today. King is a man with a quick temper and Shelby has always gotten under his skin, sparks inevitably fly when they get near each other. Shelby's been in love with King for years, but she doesn't know that his out bursts are meant to push her away, she thinks King honestly despises her and she shrinks away. You'll need some tissues handy, there are a few scenes where your heart with ache!

Frustrating!Oct 07, 2011
By JoviRomance84 Ok don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy Diana Palmer novels. I've read too many romance novels for my own good. But there's an undertone in this novel that I don't care for. The scene with King and Shelby in the library just bothered me. He can be such a chauvinistic pig. It's not just this novel. It's a pattern I see in some Palmer novels. The man is always so over dominating and it's frustrating. I don't like how Palmer makes the man overpower and scare the woman into intimacy. There's no emotion, no depth into the man. He really is a brute. I guess I just feel like the woman should have a little more pride. Other then that, the book's fantastic. There is a lot of sensual tension and emotion, good story line. Just a little frustrating.

By Bodostry Love reading Diana Palmer books, have read almost all her books ( series at a time). Love that the books are connected together.
I was surprised at the verbal and mental abuse!Apr 14, 2012
By K Pavlock I have read almost all Diana Palmers books and I was appaled at the way Shelby was treated. There was verbal and mental abuse thru the whole story line. She also was accepting of this abuse and never voiced any objection. Shame Shame
