This book contains the complete old and new testament formatted for easy reading and navigation on the Amazon Kindle. Includes chapter and verse navigation. ASV Version.
Jump from book to book by tapping or selecting items in the Table of Contents. Additionally throughout the book you can tap or select on any [chapter:verse] hyperlink and jump to a complete chapter and verse index for any book of the bible.
Or use your Kindle's search option...
This bible is setup to make it very simple to jump to specific books, chapters and verses and at any point in the book you can simply type what you are looking for and use Kindle's search option to find your text.
For example, if you want to find John 3:16 just type john 316 (you don't even need the : character) and click search. You will be taken to a hyperlink for John 3:16. Click on it and you are there. In most cases you can find a specific book/chapter/verse within a few seconds.
Because you can search using the book names you are familiar with, you won't need to remember any search codes like some of the other Kindle based bibles. | | | Product Details: | | | Average Customer Rating:

The Kindle Bible a great buy.Jan 01, 2011
By Jill P. Kight This Bible really deserves better than the 3.5 stars it has as of this review. In many cases, the reason for low reviews has to do with the Bible not having been indexed yet. This takes some time after downloading. Once indexed, I am sure you will enjoy this Bible very well. If you are not sure what book you are currenly in, point to the chapter/verse and click using the center of the 5-way navigation. This brings up the index of all chapters/verses in the current book. From here you can select another chapter/verse. Press back to return to your prior location. Anytime you want to jump to the table of contents, just press Menu and select Go To. The table of contents will be one of your options.

Excellent Kindle Bible!Jan 05, 2011
By Rita This is an excellent kindle version of the Bible. Easily navigates to any area of the Bible.
Prior to making my purchase, I read a bunch of the reviews and noted that most of the poor ones were due to lack of understanding of how a kindle works. Not sure why someone would blame the publisher when it has to do with learning how to use their Kindle. At a minimum, they should update their reviews.
Glad I decided to purchase it anyway and give it an EXCELLENT rating. This version of the Bible showcases why the Kindle is an excellent way to read a book.

I like that I can look up my verses in church easy. I like that I can take it with me anywhere because it is on the kindle and all I have to do is hit table of context.

Great Christian Bible and Great Customer service!Feb 22, 2011
By Mo This is a great Bible that's easy to use, the search is easy, the table of contents is great and the customer service is amazing!
I had a hard time with the initial download even after reading the instructional pages (I don't know what happened, but my Bible wasn't indexing properly-not the Books fault but one with the Kindle indexing), but I e-mailed the publisher and he got back to me really quickly and helped me with my problem, even though it wasn't a problem with the book but the Kindle itself.
I see a lot of people complaining about the search not working, I don't know if these people are reading the first pages that open in the book, but if it's allowed to index properly, the search is ridiculously easy to use.
One of the things I love about this is the table of contents, it lists all the books and makes it easy to choose which book you want. The wording might be a little confusing/weird for some people, but I haven't had a problem reading it.
Great Bible, and if you want to make it easy to use just read the first few pages on how to use.

A Kindle bible a last!!Aug 27, 2010
By Amy Pros: 1. I like to carry my Kindle 2 to church instead of my BIG and HEAVY Bible.
Cons: 1. When I open it the first time and search for a verse, it said there's problem with the indexing. Luckily when I open the THIRD time, the indexing stuff is fixed and I could search for a verse eg Matthew 2:22. It will open location for Matthew 22 and Matthew 2. I'm not sure the indexing is dum dum or what. 2. I got about 200 books in my Kindle, and to get to my Bible, I need to go to page 8 out of 11 every time. I would prefer to click once and VOILA! my bible is open.
