A&D Medical has applied its state-of-the-art measurement technology to monitoring blood pressure at the wrist. This wrist monitor is smaller, lighter and more compact than other wrist monitors and is ideal for travel. Unlike other monitors that measure blood pressure during deflation of the cuff, this monitor measures blood pressure during cuff inflation for a faster, more comfortable reading. The large display simultaneously shows systolic, diastolic and pulse readings. The measurement range is 20 mmHg to 280 mmHg and Pulse: 40 to 200 pulses/minute. The UB-511 stores the last 30 blood pressure measurements for effective tracking. The average reading feature automatically calculates the "average" of the total readings stored in memory. Also included is an Irregular Heartbeat Feature that alerts the user and provides an accurate measurement even when an irregular heartbeat occurs. The UB-511 includes a wrist cuff size which has a range of 5.3" to 8.5". Also included are a rigid carrying case, trilingual instruction manual, quick start card, four week blood pressure logbook, 2 "AAA" batteries and a warranty card. I wanted something for a quick reading and this unit fills the bill. It keeps track of the last 30 readings so you can compare and track how your BP is over time. I had a little trouble figuring out how to review the previous readings but I read and followed the instructions to get it right.
The readings are "off" from my larger monitor, but you can get an idea of how you vitals are doing by looking at your previous readings. All in all, I'm happy with the function and price.

Want a no brainer to monitor your blood pressure? I found this to be very proficient, fast and even got one for my 88 year old mother-in-law. She is so proud to take her own pressure now.
