SmashingJul 16, 2010 A smashing good season. David Tennant plays an excellent Doctor, and like all of the previous incarnations he manages to take control of every situation with a minimal expenditure of force. I was especially amused when he defeated one of the bad guys by playing an organ. Anyways, I give it 5 stars for being so awesome.
Doctor Who Series 3Jul 08, 2010 If you are a Doctor Who fan, then this is a must have for your collection. I'm glad I got this DVD set. It's packed full of fun stuff like the Doctor Who confidentional concert, deleted scenes (including the very funny "I hate pears" One, David Tennent's video diarys, and other inside looks into how the show is made. The third season is a very fun season to watch as it had quite a few great storys, such as the two parter where the Doctor becomes human and also the three parter with the Master. The third season is also where we first meet the creepy villians, the weeping angles and the doctor's campanion, Martha Jones. I most defenatly recomend buying this season.
Perfect for my collectionJun 18, 2010 I am a huge fan of Doctor Who, and this dvd set really preserves the fun I had watching this show. I highly recommend this product to anyone who loves the show, especially if they would like to bask in the glory that is the Tenth Doctor
A bit of a disappointment after seasons one & two, but still not that bad.Jun 14, 2010 The main faults of this season has to do with more drama, less action, and new companion Martha Jones.
It's clear in this season that Executive Producer Russell T. Davies wants to take the show into a new area by adding more drama in it, which in my opion ruins the show. Although you still get a lot of action, you also get a lot of drama too. Drama can help a program, but too much slows it down. That's how I feel about this season. It's not as fast paced or as exciting as the two previous seasons. And what's up with Martha?! I have nothing against the actress who plays her, but her character is way to obsessed with the Doctor. And unlike Rose who had a great and thoughtful premiere, it seemed to me that Martha Jones was just thrown into the show so that the Doctor could have someone to talk to.
At least for the most part, the stories were still good and intriguing though. The only one that wasn't was "Blink" which I didn't find good in any way at all. It had WAY too much drama in it, not enough of the Doctor and Martha in it, and I didn't even think it was scary. Statues that send you back in time - what's scary about that? But still not a terrible season. I've just seen better that's all.
