4Wonderful Little "Dress" pocket knife, but EXPENSIVE.Jul 26, 2011
By Retired Navy Guy "Chief Cook & Bottle Washer, Gardner, litter box cleaner, fix-it guy, neighborhood dog/cat/ chicken/armadillo chaser & vet., AND, 'honey-do' expert."
This is a QUALITY, well made and designed little knife. Although it lacks the tweezers & toothpick of many similar pocket knives it is excellent.

ADVANTAGES:
* It is only about 1/2 to 2/3rds the weight similar knives. It may feel "cheap" to some because case is made of what seems to be aircraft grade aluminum alloy. This is why it is so light weight and so nice in a pocket! IF you doubt the sturdiness of this unit, open the tools and try to bend the case. It is STRONG. Unless you really apply a GREAT amount of pressure you cannot even slightly distort it.

* It is much thinner than similar knives, as it does not have the toothpick & tweezers, nor bulky combo plastic and steel case.

* Great styling -- I usually am not impressed by fashion or "styling", but this little gem says "Professional", it is not plastic looking or glitzy neon preppy garbage.

* Blades are strong and screwdriver can actually be USED as a screwdriver, nail file works okay, and knife blade is as sharp as it needs to be as it will cut through plastic, nylon or fiber cord easily with minimal fraying, even cuts type III paracord easily. (I did sharpen the knife blade as I like sharper one, but that is personal preference.) It also has a nice point for nail cleaning, although if you sharpen you have to be a bit more careful using it for this function.

* The scissors actually work well, both for trimming finger nails and cutting paper. Many similar knives fail at one of these being improperly angled or mis-aligned.

* Riveting of the unit is tight and very smooth & professional.

DRAWBACK:
* This little knife is somewhat expensive, but you get quality, still, I think it is a bit overpriced so downgraded by one star.

Other than price -- OUTSTANDING product.

5Swiss Army Classic SD Silver AloxFeb 12, 2011
By GoodBuyer
I spent a lot of time looking for this specific model all over the stores near home and I only found it on Amazon. Very nice model. The pricing is a little higher than other models, but the life of the product is longer than other products from the same manufacturer.

5My great little tool!Jan 15, 2011

I bought the Swiss Army Classic for myself because I travel a lot in my car and cannot take the kitchen drawer with me. This item has three features that will often be helpful to me. It is attractive, fits nicely in the organizer purse I use, and does not have funcitons that I an unlikely to use. This is just the right one for me.

5Fits in with my collection.Oct 12, 2011

I am really big on Victorinox knives ever since I was given my first at the age of 8. Really high quality tools that will last a lifetime. My 'big' one at the moment is a cybertool 34. But this little guy is sufficient for what I need on a keyring knife.

Screwdriver: though it's a flat-blade, it works perfectly with the standard size computer case screws.
Knife: Cut tape on shipping boxes, including the fiber reinforced tapes.
File: rarely get a torn fingernail, but this helps sometimes.
Scissors: cut tags off clothes or packaging.

I don't mind not having the toothpick or tweezers which the plastic classic does. I just wanted something functional and that doesn't add much weight or bulge to my key chain. Plus, keys really scratch the resin on the traditional knives any how. It is safe to say, I am satisfied with this purchase.

4Please add tweezersAug 27, 2011

I have both black classic and silver alox classic. I like the silver color better - it is lighter & thinner and it doesn't get scratched like regular classic with plastic handle. Note that silver alox version doesn't have tweezers or toothpick like the regular classic. I don't need the toothpick but wish the silver alox had tweezers because I use it for removing splinters.
